The side chairs used to be beat- up narra, which the family had for years. I painted them to have an updated look, contrast with the mahogany interiors. I did plan on a distressed finish, sand them lightly as the paint settles, let out the red corners. The flat white satin appealed to me anyhow so it stays for now. I guess i ought to sand them soon as they have their share of grime.
